"around the world" (en español: "Alrededor del mundo") es una canción de la banda japonesa m.o.v.e, siendo este su segundo sencillo. Fue usada como el primer opening de Initial D First Stage, además de aparecer en los avances de capítulos, comerciales y varias cosas relacionadas al anime.
Otras versiones de la canción son: El remix Eurobeat hecho por Dave Rodgers, aparecido en Super Eurobeat Presents Initial D ~D Selection~; otro remix también hecho por Dave Rodgers el cuál añade clips de voz de Shin-ichiro Miki (Takumi Fujiwara) y Ayako Kawasumi (Natsuki Mogi), aparecido en Initial D Vocal Battle. Ésta última fue usada como opening para los Audio Dramas.
Opening[]
Entre las sombras, el Ocho-Seis se enciende y levanta las luces. Este recorre las calles hasta que alcanza una curva, el conductor frena y contra voltea con el volante para entrar a una curva, en la que aparece un FC3S blanco. Unas luces se acercan a toda velocidad a la pantalla, dejándola en blanco, y aparece el título "頭文字D".
Aparecen varios personajes en el siguiente orden: Keisuke Takahashi, Itsuki Takeuchi, Koichiro Iketani, Natsuki Mogi, Takeshi Nakazato, Shingo Shoji, Mako y Sayuki, Ryosuke Takahashi; mientras que, de fondo, se varios repiten clips del Ocho-Seis y otros autos. Se hace una transición mostrando un tacómetro y varios textos diciendo "INITIAL D".
Aparece Takumi Fujiwara caminando por un espacio vacío, se detiene y mira a lo lejos, donde ve su Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX (AE86) estacionado. Se le queda viendo un rato hasta que comienza a caminar hasta este.
Se vuelven a repetir los clips del Ocho-Seis del inicio, ahora con un filtro verde estilo visión nocturna. Hay una transición a una calle y luego la cámara corta a un plano de la luna en la vida real.
