Savage Shingo (デンジャラス慎吾, Denjarasu Shingo, "Dangerous Shingo") is the thirtieth chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Fumihiro meets with Keisuke, and the two talk about how Ryosuke would fare in a race with the Eight-Six. Fumihiro thinks that will the data he's gathered Ryosuke would win, and Keisuke agrees, but he can't see the Eight-Six losing either.

At the gas station, Iketani is overjoyed to finally have his S13 back, and decides to practice drifting later on. Itsuki decides to join him, and tells him and Yuichi about how Takumi had raced his Eight-Five against the NightKids. Yuichi is surprised that Takumi was able to drift the car even without an LSD, and concludes that his ability to adapt is better than he thought.

On Akina that evening, Iketani practices sliding with his handbrake. He explains that up to that point him and Kenji had been using a power slide, which forces them to slow down before exiting the corner, while a better racer such as Takumi would drift into a corner at the same angle they wanted to exit it, maintaining their momentum throughout. Iketani heads off down the mountain to practice on the turns. As he drives, he suddenly notices a Civic appear behind him. The car taps on his bumper, and Iketani tries to pull away. As he goes to enter a corner, the other driver, revealed to be Shingo Shoji, bumps the Silvia, causing him to spin out.
