Ryosuke's Miscalculation (涼介の誤算, Ryōsuke no Gosan, "Ryosuke's Miscalculation") is the forty-eighth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Takumi realises they're almost at the finish line, and vows to get closer to Ryosuke.
A lookout calls up to Keisuke at the start line, and tells him that Ryosuke passed Takumi in the hairpins, much to his surprise. The lookout says that the FC is going 12 second faster than the Eight-Six was in the battle with Keisuke. Kenji overhears, and tells the SpeedStars.
Takumi keeps getting closer to the FC. Ryosuke realises that his front tires are losing grip, as copying Takumi's drifting earlier in the race put more stress on them. Ryosuke notices Takumi gaining on him, and wonders how his tires seem completely fine. Takumi just barely dips his wheel into the gutter, and uses it to come even closer to the FC.
At the corner just before the finish, the NightKids hear the two cars approaching. They both comment on the corner, as it's the final place to pass before the finish line. The two cars enter sight.
