Egos Collide! (激突するプライド!!, Gekitotsu Suru Puraido!!, "Pride clashes!!") is the sixty-eighth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Itsuki and Takumi drive up Myogi in the Eight-Six. Itsuki keeps trying to convince Takumi to show-off for the crowd, but he declines as he doesn't think anyone knows who he is. Unbeknownst to him, all of the onlookers they pass comment on the car. The Eight-Six is passed by Keisuke, Kenta and Nakazato.
At the starting line, Keisuke tells Ryosuke that the tuning on the FD is perfect. He mentions the Eight-Six being on the mountain, and is glad that he will be able to see how much he's improved.
Shingo asks Nakazato if he'd seen the Eight-Six, and Nakazato tells him that he'd been able to feel his presence since he arrived. He vows not to lose.
The two cars line up on the start line. Shingo gives the countdown, and the two cars begin their race. Nakazato takes the lead, with Keisuke following shortly behind.
