Seiji's Rage (清次の怒り, Seiji no Ikari, "Seiji's anger") is the eighty-eighth chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

The two drivers continue down the mountain. Seiji continues to get annoyed by Kyoichi's instructions, as he can't understand why he would need to trail behind a weak car like an Eight-Six. The cars reach the longest straight, and Seiji loses his patience and overtakes. He picks up his speed and drifts through the corners, intent on losing his opponent.

At the top of the mountain, Itsuki notes how tense everyone is. He thinks about Takumi's chances of victory, and how they had doubted he could win before, but now it does seem that he's outclassed. The more he thinks about it, the more he believes that Takumi may actually be able to win, despite all logic.

Seiji checks his rearview mirror, and is shocked to see that the Eight-Six is tailing right behind him.
