Chapter 123

Keisuke vs. Wataru?! (啓介VS. 渉!?, Keisuke vs Wataru!?, "Keisuke vs. Wataru!?") is the one hundred and twenty-third chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Wataru approaches Keisuke, and challenges him to a race. Keisuke declines, and Wataru assumes it's because he drives an Eight-Six, but Keisuke tells him it would be a waste of gas to race on his home course. He informs him that no one in Gunma would disrespect someone for driving an Eight-Six, after all their best downhill racer drives one, and is undefeated. Wataru is shocked to hear that.

At the gas station, Bunta pulls up for a refill. He tells Yuichi that Takumi has been using more fuel than usual, racing anyone he can, in order to get a feel for the car.

Keisuke and Kenta drive down Akagi, when they are suddenly ambushed by Wataru. Keisuke is annoyed, but accepts the challenge in order to defend his honor. Kenta moves out of the way to let the two cars pass, and realises the Eight-Six is turbocharged.
