Opposites Attract (反発, Hanpatsu, "Opposition") is the one hundred and twenty-seventh chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Wataru says that the Eight-Six's engine isn't the sort you'd have in a car for street racing, but a professional racing car, and that most professionals would have a hard time getting one. He calls Itsuki and Takumi liars again, which annoys Takumi, who tells him that he really doesn't know anything about the engine. He doesn't understand why Wataru would think he'd play a prank on him when they've never met. Takumi goes to leave, and Wataru angrily shouts for him to come back, making Takumi almost snap. Suddenly, Kazumi slaps Wataru. She tells him to apologise or go back to Saitama, as she doesn't want him messing up her life in Gunma. Wataru leaves. Takumi decides to go as well, leaving Itsuki with Kazumi.

Wataru parks at the top of Akina, and realises how much Kazumi has changed in the short time she's been in Gunma. He hears a car approaching, and sits up to see Takumi pulling up next to him.

At Lake Akina, Kazumi figures out that Takumi was the rival Itsuki had dreamed about beating. She's surprised at herself for slapping Wataru.

Wataru acts aggressively towards Takumi, but he says that he just wants to know more about the engine.
