The Seal Shall Be Broken (封印からの開放, Fūin Kara no Kaihō, "Breaking the Seal") is the one hundred and twenty-eighth chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Takumi explains to Wataru that the engine might be a professional engine, but it still feels slow to him, and asks him if he can help him figure out why. Wataru agrees, but asks Takumi how he got the engine, and Takumi tells him that his dad had gotten it. Wataru assumes he must be a professional racer, but is surprised when Takumi says he owns a tofu store. He realises that it'd be too dark to take another look at the engine, and asks to ride in the passenger seat while Takumi goes all out on a downhill run.

Bunta meets with Masashi in a restaurant, where he tells him that the parts he had been waiting for have arrived. Bunta says that Takumi is used to the car by now, but that he might hold off on installing the new parts for now.

On Akina, Wataru realises that the engine is losing power when it shifts, and wonders if the engine is defective. Wataru is amazed by Takumi's driving, and suddenly figures out what the issue is.

Back at the top of Akina, Wataru tells Takumi that he knows what the problem with the car is, and he didn't realise at first because of how simple it is.
