This Means War! (宣戦布告, Sensen Fukoku, "Declaration of War") is the one hundred and twenty-ninth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Wataru tells Takumi that the issue with the car is that the tachometer doesn't go high enough, and that he's shifting well before he needs to. Wataru says he could probably push the engine to ten thousand revolutions before he'd need to shift. He reiterates that it isn't a normal engine, and that the instrument panel isn't good enough. He realises that someone must be coaching Takumi, as this would allow him to get used to the extra power a lot easier. Wataru vows to race Takumi, and refuses to lose, saying that his lack of technical knowledge puts him below him.
Wataru drives down Akina, and admits he was scared by Takumi's driving. He repeats that he has to beat him.
At the gas station the next day, Takumi wonders why Bunta wouldn't just tell him about the new engine. Iketani notices that both Takumi and Itsuki are spacing out. Kazumi shows up, and Itsuki runs over to her, only to realise she's crying.
