Prepare For a Rude Awakening! (覚醒の予感, Kakusei no Yokan, "Premonition of awakening") is the one hundred and thirty-sixth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Takumi thinks Wataru is just playing with him, as he doesn't appear to be trying. With this in mind, Takumi becomes more focused than he had ever been in a race. The two cars approach a section with a small landslide, and narrowly avoid it. Wataru admits that he's holding back to allow Takumi to get a feel for the course, but he says that he won't hold back on the second lap.
At the bus station, Itsuki and Kazumi go to get a drink from a vending machine. Itsuki wonders how Kazumi would react if Wataru were to lose. Itsuki apologises to Takumi, as he's rooting against him for the first time, just so he doesn't see Kazumi upset.
Takumi is able to gain the lead on the downhill, and the race enters the uphill section. Takumi realises he's finally met his match.
