Resolutions (決心, Kesshin, "Resolution") is the one hundred and forty-fourth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Itsuki is left shocked, and Kazumi explains to him that she had gotten in trouble with her parents for staying out late. She tells him that she thinks her true place is in Saitama, and that she wants a career so she can get money to do whatever she wants, and she thinks she can only do that back home. Itsuki goes to object, but Wataru and Takumi return from their race. Wataru tells Kazumi that he's tired, and that they should go. She says goodbye to Itsuki, and they leave.
Takumi and Itsuki take the expressway back to Gunma. Itsuki asks Takumi how the race went, and is glad that Takumi won, though he feels like crying over Kazumi.
Takumi returns home to the Fujiwara Tofu Store, and Bunta tells him that he has deliveries in half an hour. Takumi tells Bunta that the car is great, before going to take a nap. Bunta remarks that Takumi must have won.
A few days later at school, Itsuki apologises for rooting against Takumi during his race. He tells Takumi that Kazumi had dumped him, and that he doesn't think she saw him in a romantic way. Takumi doesn't believe it, saying that she must have liked him, based on how she looked at him. He asks if he had told her how he felt, but Itsuki says he didn't get the chance to tell her before she left. Takumi says that if he liked someone that much he should have told them, but Itsuki says he couldn't bring himself to.
At the gas station, Iketani asks Takumi what's up with Itsuki, and he fills him in on the situation. Iketani feels for Itsuki, and is considering talking with him about it. Suddenly, Kazumi shows up.
