The Tricky Line (えげつないライン, Egetsunai Rain, "Nasty Line") is the one hundred and sixty-eighth chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Kai takes the inside line on the corner, and jumps his car down in front of the Eight-Six, shocking Takumi. Kai goes to perform the same jump on the next corner, and Takumi follows him. Kai is surprised that he managed to perfect the trick so quickly, but he refuses to give in.

In Shibukawa, Yuichi and Bunta eat together at a ramen shop. Bunta tells Yuichi that he had told Takumi he'd be behind when he got to the end, and that the race would be decided at the bridge. Bunta says that he had given him advice, but that he isn't sure Takumi understood him. He thinks Takumi has a 50% chance of winning, but he would need to have luck and his skills on his side.

Kyoichi is told by a lookout that Kai has taken the lead. Seiji thinks that the race is over, and that Takumi wont be able to retake the lead. Kyoichi thinks Kai might have made his move too soon.
