The First Snow (初雪, Hatsuyuki, "First Snow") is the one hundred and seventy-third chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Natsuki is happy when she sees the Eight-Six approaching.
Takumi asks why she wanted to meet with him, and she tells him that she had stopped seeing the man in the Benz. Takumi tells her that he doesn't care what she does, but Natsuki refutes that, saying that if he really didn't care he wouldn't be going out of his way to ignore her. She thinks what happened between them still bothers him, and that he thinks she betrayed him. She says she's sorry for what happened, and that she left the man in the Benz so she can concentrate on him. Takumi doesn't believe her, and tells her that her wanting to focus on their future feels one sided.
At Lake Akina, Takumi asks how much Natsuki was paid, and she says she would get a small allowance from him now and then, but that she doesn't see anything wrong with that. Takumi is confused how she can think that isn't wrong. She explains that he was well paid so he would pay for them to go out, and sometimes he would pay her a little extra for her company. She doesn't see how it matters, as she wants to pick up where they left off. Takumi feels like she had cheated on him, and now she wants him back. Natsuki refuses to back down, telling him that she doesn't want to leave high school with him hating her. The pair are shocked when it begins to snow.
