The Future (それぞれの未来, Sorezore no Mirai, "Their Futures") is the one hundred and ninetieth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
At the bottom of Akina, Takumi is surprised when Natsuki says that she wasn't scared, as even Iketani and Itsuki were terrified, and he wasn't going all out then. Takumi explains that he intends to join Project D, and he needs to stay in Gunma to do that. Natsuki offers to give up on Tokyo, and stay with him, but Takumi says he can't let her do it, as she might live to regret that decision. Natsuki is upset because of how mature he sounds, but he tells her that he thinks that its what he would do in her situation. Natsuki leans over and whispers something in Takumi's ear. The two have a brief conversation, before driving off into the night. Their destination is left unstated, but neither got home until much later.
Sometime later at the gas station, Yuichi hands Natsuki her final paycheck, and tells her that she will be missed. Iketani asks when she's leaving, and Natsuki says that she's going tomorrow. Iketani offers for everyone to go to the train station to see her off, but Natsuki tells him that Takumi is seeing her off. Natsuki leaves, and Iketani tears up, much to Yuichi's annoyance.
At Lake Akina, Itsuki thinks that graduation isn't all it's made out to be. He asks Takumi what he's going to do about Natsuki, wondering if they'll go long distance, and Takumi tells him that he hadn't thought about it. Itsuki asks Takumi if him and Natsuki have had sex. Takumi is annoyed by the question, but doesn't deny it. Itsuki becomes upset that Takumi had beaten him to something yet again, and Takumi asks that they change the topic.
