Gunma Road Warriors (群馬エリアからの挑戦者, Gunma Eria Kara no Chōsen Sha, "Challengers from the Gunma Area") is the one hundred and ninety-third chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
In Tochigi, Toru Suetsugu meets up with Atsuro Kawai and the rest of their team, Seven Star Leaf, to discuss their upcoming race with Project D. Toru chooses to race them on the downhill, while Atsuro takes the uphill. Toru believes that they can win, and show Project D that they aren't on top outside of Gunma.
At a café, Toru meets with his girlfriend Nao, and asks to borrow some money for tires. Nao tells him that he should start saving for his future, as they could have been married three times over with the money he spent on his car. She says she'll lend him the money on one condition, that if he loses he has to quit racing. Toru reluctantly agrees, but tells her that its unlikely he'll lose.
At the Momiji Line, Atsuro can't believe the deal Toru made, telling him that he'd basically bet his relationship on a race. Toru says he's probably right, but he wants to focus on the race, as he doubts Nao would end their relationship over it. Project D arrive, and Toru realises that the race might not be so easy.
