Tohru Matsushi, The Downhill Kamikaze (カミカゼダウンヒル!!末次トオル, Kamikaze Daunhiru!! Suetsugu Tōru, "Downhill Kamikaze!! Toru Suetsugu") is the one hundred and ninety-sixth chapter of Initial D.

Plot

At the starting line, Fumihiro speaks with Toru and Atsuro. He reports back to Ryosuke that they want to start with the downhill race, and they want it to be a passing battle. Matsumoto tells Ryosuke that the Eight-Six is ready to go whenever.

A member of Seven Star Leaf tells Toru that he shouldn't underestimate the Eight-Six, and he responds that he intends to respect his opponent, and have the best race. Toru tells Shinichi that he's nervous about the race, but that he's also more excited to race than he ever has been, and he's happy that Project D have caused that.

The cars line up at the start line, with Toru in the lead. Toru greets Takumi. and is surprised how powerful he seems.

The race begins, and Shinichi hopes that Toru will win.
