When Skill Molds Power (技術が馬力(パワー)をしのぐ時, Gijutsu ga Pawā wo Shinogu Toki, "When Technique Overcomes Power") is the two hundred and seventh chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
With Keisuke having passed Atsuro, he wins the race.
At the finish line, Atsuro asks Keisuke how he had overtaken. Keisuke tells Atsuro that while he had more horsepower than him, speed on straightaways is determined by how you exit the corners. He tells him he needs to work on his cornering, and that he isn't using his car to its full potential, but isn't able to offer specific advice. Atsuro isn't sure to think, and just watches Keisuke drive away.
Project D leaves victorious, having new set course records.
The next day, Nao is surprised when Toru tells her that he's intending to give up racing. Toru reminds her that it was her idea, but she says she had just said it to let off steam. Toru tells her that it's alright, and now that he has lost a race he's fine with giving up racing, that he'll just enjoy cars in a different way. He says that he's honored to have met Project D, as he thinks they're likely some of the greatest racers out there.
