The Miscalculation (誤算, Gosan, "Miscalculation") is the two hundred and twenty-third chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Now in the second lap, Takumi starts to go over 9,000RPM, allowing him to use the full potential of his engine. Despite this, he has to give his all just to keep up with Daiki.
At the bottom of the course, Ryosuke explains that while Takumi will be racing the fastest he ever has before, his sense for the road should allow him to keep up with his opponent. He hopes that Takumi still has something up his sleeve to surprise the Todo School with.
Takumi clings to the EK9 through the corners. Daiki doesn't understand how Takumi can be keeping up with him, as he is going well above what his top speed from the first lap was.
At the start line, the Todo School students don't understand how Daiki can't lose the Eight-Six, and wonder if he's making mistakes. Sakai proposes that the Eight-Six might just be a lot faster than they had originally thought.
