Signaling the Counter-Offensive (反攻ののろし, Hankō no Noroshi, "Signaling the Counteroffensive") is the two hundred and twenty-fifth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
The two cars power through the corners one after the other, and the spectators don't understand how the Eight-Six can be so close behind. The narrator compares the battle to Takumi's race on Usui Pass, as Takumi's sense for the road is allowing him to keep up with a local who is well-versed on the course. Daiki doesn't understand how Takumi can keep up, as they're past the speed of their previous run. He wonders if Takumi had capped his speed, but doubts it as he would have noticed if he was holding back.
At the bottom of the course, Ryosuke says that they have a better chance of winning if Takumi is able to stay close throughout the second half of the race. He asks Keisuke and Kenta if they know why, but Kenta is unsure. Keisuke says that because Daiki is driving an FF his front tires will wear quicker than Takumi's.
Daiki wonders if he's doing something wrong.
