Quick Decision (Part Two) (短期決戦 (後編), Tanki Kessen (Kōhen), "Short Battle (Continued)") is the two hundred and thirtieth chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

The two racers take the first hairpin. The narrator explains that the Enna Skyline is mostly sharp turns, but features four lower speed hairpins. While a normal FF would be held back by its traction, the Integra Type R is very capable in the corners, which allowed it to excel on the circuit. Keisuke notes how fast the car is, and thinks that Sakai must be crazy.

The Todo School old boys tell Daiki that some of the others are worried that Project D might pose a similar threat on the uphill as they did on the downhill. Daiki tells them not to worry, as the reason he lost was that he underestimated Project D, which Sakai won't do. The group talk about Sakai's racing, and how when a race gets tense he begins to smile, which earned him the nickname "Smiley" Sakai.

Sakai thinks to himself that putting a turbo in his Integra was the right call, as combining the Integra, an exceptional car, with the additional torque that the turbocharger provides makes the car unstoppable on the uphill. The two cars take the second hairpin, and the onlookers are surprised at how close the FD is to the Integra. Sakai notes how good Keisuke's timing is, but says that he's falling into his trap.
