Who's Going to Drive?! (走るのは誰!?, Hashiru no ha Dare!?, "Who's Gonna Race!?") is the two hundred and thirty-ninth chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Tomoyuki questions if they need to worry about how the car is tuned, as he's only facing an amateur, but Todo tells him to just show him the best that he's got. Tomoyuki thinks about it, and asks for more control in the rear, so he can improve his speed in the corners.

That evening on Akagi, Fumihiro is surprised to see that Matsumoto has fitted a carbon bonnet to the Eight-Six. Matsumoto says Ryosuke had asked for a lower weight, so he removed some from the front, keeping the rear heavier. Project D gather for a meeting, with video tapes of Happogahara being given to Takumi and Keisuke. Ryosuke says that the course is both uphill and downhill, which makes Keisuke question which of them will be driving. Ryosuke says that he hasn't decided, but warns them that the Todo School have called in a professional racer to go up against them. Fumihiro questions why they're accepting a challenge they can't win, but Ryosuke tells him that his decision is made, as Project D doesn't back down. Keisuke asks to be the one to race, as the FD would be better suited for a mixed course, but Ryosuke repeats that he hasn't decided who will race, as he wants to see them drive on the course first.

The next day on Akina, Takumi practices on the downhill.

At Skylark, Fumihiro questions why Ryosuke hasn't chosen the FD to race. Matsumoto wonders if he's just trying to keep the competition between Takumi and Keisuke going, but Fumihiro thinks he's either trying to get Keisuke to mature, or to keep him from hogging the spotlight. They both agree that Keisuke will have to be the one chosen in the end.
