The Victor's Starting Line (Part Two) (勝利へのスタートライン (後編), Shōri e no sutātorain (Kōhen), "The starting line to victory (Continued)") is the two hundred and forty-third chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

The team are surprised by Ryosuke's decision, and Keisuke complains, as his times were quicker during practice. Ryosuke tells him that he doesn't have time to explain, and asks Takumi to join him on a downhill run, so he can give him some tips. Fumihiro tries to cheer Keisuke up by reminding him that Ryosuke hasn't steered them wrong before, but Keisuke tells him that that makes it worse.

Daiki is enamoured by Tomoyuki's racing suit, and says he'd love to wear one someday. Todo tells him that its a uniform, and that by wearing one he'd need to be able to back it up on the road. Todo lets Tomoyuki know that despite driving a modified demonstration car, the FD will still be able to overtake him on the straightaways. Tomoyuki tells him to relax and leave it to him.

Takumi and Ryosuke return from the run in the FC, and tells Fumihiro to get everything started. As Project D are the ones being challenged, Fumihiro asks for them to start side by side, and offers Tomoyuki pole position, letting him be on the inside for the first turn. The cars line up at the starting line, and the Todo School are shocked to see the Eight-Six pull up.
