The Reserve Power of a Pro (プロの底力, Puro no Sokojikara, "The Real Strength of a Pro") is the two hundred and fifty-third chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Tomoyuki starts to take the race seriously.

At the starting line, the Todo School students are shocked that Tomoyuki was passed, but Todo only smiles. He tells the students that he had expected the Eight-Six to be a challenge, as Project D wouldn't have used it to confuse them if it wasn't good. He knows that Tomoyuki went into the race thinking he couldn't lose, and imagines that he'll be having fun for the first time in a while.

The two racers pass Seiji and Kyoichi, who are shocked that Takumi had been able to retake the lead. As the two cars wind up the hairpins, Tomoyuki lightly taps the Eight-Six, causing Takumi to briefly lose speed, giving him enough room to maneuver past. Seiji is amazed by how Tomoyuki had taken back the lead, and Kyoichi commends Project D for still being in the race. Takumi is in shock, as he had given everything he had to overtake, just to be overtaken as if it was nothing.
