A Time to Grow (Part Two) (成長の証 (後編), Seichō no Akashi (Kōhen), "Proof of Growth (Continued)") is the two hundred and sixty-third chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
The two racers from Tokyo follow Iketani's S13, engaging him in a battle. The pair think Iketani's skill is impressive for an amateur, but don't think he will be much of a challenge.
Takumi follows the two cars in the Eight-Five. Itsuki asks Takumi if he thinks that his car is scary to drive, and Takumi tells him that it could be weird in the beginning, but that once you're used to it its fine. Itsuki wonders who will win the battle, with Takumi saying that while Iketani has course knowledge, he's at a significant disadvantage. Itsuki is surprised by Takumi's growth since joining Project D. Takumi tells him that the S15 is going to pass on the upcoming straightaway.
The two cars leave the turn, and as predicted the S15 passes Iketani with ease. The two racers from Tokyo gloat in their presumed victory, doubting that Iketani could catch up again. The driver glances into his rear-view mirror, and is shocked to see a car right behind him.
