FD. VS FD. (FD VS FD, FD VS FD, "FD vs FD") is the two hundred and seventy-first chapter of Initial D.

Plot

Kyoko tells Nobuhiko that she wants to take the lead on the first lap. Nobuhiko is surprised by this, as Keisuke hasn't got a good grip on the intricacies of the course, and so taking the lead would essentially be showing him how to handle to course. Kyoko insists on driving in the lead, and he relents as it's her race.

Nobuhiko relays this to Fumihiro, who tells Keisuke. Fumihiro teases Keisuke, telling him not to try and impress Kyoko because she's cute. A flustered Keisuke tells Fumihiro that she's not his type, and that he'll leave her in his dust within the first round. Fumihiro is surprised by his reaction, as he'd never normally blow up over a joke, and wonders if he has something on his mind.

Keisuke and Kyoko are finally officially introduced to one another. Ryosuke tells Keisuke he hasn't given him any instructions because he wanted to see how he would handle it on his own, and asks him to grade himself. Keisuke gives himself an 8/10, which Ryosuke is happy with, as there's no way to be perfect on such a poor road surface in a high powered FR. Ryosuke gives him one tip for the race: Kyoko's FD only has a single turbo. Keisuke doesn't understand what he means.

Fumihiro begins the countdown.
