Chapter 291

The X-Factor (Part Two) (不確定要素 (後編), Fukakutei Yōso (Kōhen), "Uncertain Elements (Continued)") is the two hundred and ninety-first chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Takumi and Keisuke take their practice runs.

Somewhere, Kyoko wishes she could watch Project D practice.

Wataru realises it will likely rain, and says that they should call off the race if it gets too bad. Nobuhiko argues that rain works to their advantage, and they should let the race happen.

Keisuke returns from a lap, and asks to be fuelled up. Ryosuke pulls him aside, and asks him to to a few laps without his headlights, as the rain will lower his visibility. Keisuke heads back off on his runs. Fumihiro wonders how well Takumi will do in the rain, as he's good at driving almost blind.

The sun rises in the horizon, and both teams head home.

The next day, Kyoko drives along Maze Pass, and notices Keisuke's car parked alongside the road. She pulls over to admire it, stroking the car.
