The Final Outcome (最終局面, Saishū Kyokumen, "Final Phase") is the three hundred and fourth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Sakamoto isn't sure which side Takumi will try to overtake on, and moves to block him each time. The two racers approach where the SpeedStars are stood. Takumi turns off his headlights, which makes Itsuki wonder if he had fallen behind.
Ryosuke hopes Takumi doesn't extend the race into a second lap, as regardless of how "good" it seems, his best chance of victory is to overtake on the final straight.
Sakamoto is shocked to see Takumi completely disappear from his rearview, and instinctively hugs the inside for the upcoming corner. Takumi takes advantage of the newly opened space and pulls alongside him, turning on his headlights. Itsuki narrowly dodges the Eight-Six, and Takumi is able to pull ahead of the Cappuccino.
