Down the Uphill (つみ重なる疲労, Tsumi Kasanaru Hirō, "Accumulating Fatigue") is the three hundred and twelfth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
As the two cars speed up the course, the narrator explains the setup of Wataru's Levin. While both cars have similar power, the supercharger pulls excess power from the crankshaft, increasing the speed of the engine without the lag that hampers a turbocharger. Under low speed condition such as those on Maze Pass it is a much better setup than a turbocharger. With his new setup, Wataru is finally ready to leave his past loss to Takumi behind. Though both racers are exhausted, the battle continues into its third round.
