Return of the Nightmare (悪夢のマシン再び, Akumu no Mashin Futatabi, "The Nightmare Machine Again") is the three hundred and seventeenth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
With both races won, Project D has a complete victory over the Northern Saitama Alliance. Due to the poor weather, the time trials are cancelled. Fumihiro instructs the team to clean up, and leave the course as they found it. Keisuke and Kyoko catch each others eye, but Keisuke leaves without speaking with her.
Itsuki tells Kenji and Iketani that he's going home in Takumi's car, much to their jealousy.
Nobuhiko laments his loss, but acknowledges that Project D is in a whole other league than them.
On the Kan-etsu Expressway, Itsuki tells Takumi that he's glad he knows him, as he wouldn't have reconnected with Kazumi otherwise. Takumi is happy for Itsuki, but is jealous at the same time.
At 4am, Takumi wakes up for his tofu deliveries, and is surprised to see a Subaru Impreza parked out front, which Bunta tells him to use for the deliveries. Takumi realises that he has seen the car before, and finally realises that Bunta was the driver that had beaten him on Akina.
