Initial D Wiki

Iggy Finds Happiness (Part Two) (イツキ絶好調 (後編), Itsuki Zekkōchō (Kōhen), "Itsuki is on a roll (Continued)") is the three hundred and twenty-first chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Itsuki and Kazumi head up to Maze Pass, and Itsuki struggles with the course. Kazumi isn't impressed with Itsuki's new turbo, much preferring Wataru's Levin.

Itsuki feels like the course is out of his league, but Kazumi tells him that he's improved, and that she feels safe riding with him. Itsuki says he's been practicing, but he had a little trouble controlling the turbo and accelerating out of the corners. Kazumi says that Wataru had focused on that, learning left-foot braking.

On Akina, Takumi practices in the Eight-Six, and is annoyed by his performance.

At the gas station, Bunta is surprised when Yuichi tells him what Takumi had said before. Yuichi asks him what he's planning, and Bunta says he wants Takumi to see how good newer cars can be, but Yuichi doesn't believe he could need to know anything else about them, as he has been up against many. Bunta disagrees, explaining that driving the Impreza has made Takumi realise the Eight-Six's weaknesses, which is why he doesn't think he can drive it anymore. Yuichi asks if he's trying to make Takumi swap cars, but Bunta says that he's trying to teach him one final lesson: that he has to find his own way to make a mark on the world.
