A Man's Gotta Do What He's Gotta Do (男の決心, Otoko no Kesshin, "A Man's Determination") is the three hundred and twenty-seventh chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Takumi tells Itsuki he's proud of him. Itsuki tells him that he couldn't tell Iketani and Kenji everything, and Takumi is interested to hear the rest.
At the gas station, Iketani doubts Itsuki's story, and wonders what really goes on between him and Kazumi.
At Lake Akina, Itsuki tells Takumi about a pact he had made with Kazumi the year before, where he promised her that he would drive his Eight-Five for as long as he could. He's glad he kept the promise, as now she's back in his life and he is happier than ever. Takumi tells him that he's jealous, as his relationship with Natsuki was quite painful. Itsuki tells him to cheer up, and tells him that he want's him to be his best man at his wedding, much to Takumi's shock.
The next morning, Takumi heads off on his delivery runs in the Impreza. Bunta is glad that despite his complaints he is still doing the deliveries, as he just needs to drive through it. He thinks to himself that Takumi is almost ready for the next step in his growth.
Several days later at the gas station, Iketani notices how warm it is, and thinks it must finally be summer. Itsuki celebrates that he will soon be able to see Kazumi in a bikini.
