That Hopeless Sound of the Rotary (絶望の淵に轟くロータリーサウンド, Zetsubō no Fuchi ni Todoroku Rōtarī Saundo, "Deep in Despair, The Rotary Roars") is the three hundred and fortieth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
At 7PM, Keisuke prepares to test the FD. Tomiguchi tells him not to force the car, and to be careful on right turns, as not to shift weight onto the bad suspension. Keisuke sets off, and hopes that the car will be able to perform, so he doesn't let the team down.
Aikawa tells Ichijo about the events earlier that day, and they mock Project D for taking the race so serious. Ichijo hopes there will be a big crowd, so that they can embarrass them in front of as many people. Their friend says he will call his friend who has a bōsōzoku gang, as he can bring all of his gang.
Keisuke tests the limits of his damaged FD, and wonders how it will handle the right turns.
