That Hopeless Sound of the Rotary (Part Two) (絶望の淵に轟くロータリーサウンド (後編), Zetsubō no Fuchi ni Todoroku Rōtarī Saundo (Kōhen), "Deep in Despair, The Rotary Roars (Continued)") is the three hundred and forty-first chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Keisuke takes the right hand turn at 80% power, but he is unable to control it, and the car spins out. He hits the horn in frustration.
At the top of the course, Ryosuke sympathises with Keisuke, but knows that the FD won't be able to race. He has a card up his sleeve however, though he hadn't intended to use it against a cheating team.
Keisuke accepts that the car is unbalanced, though he had hoped it would only be minor. He lays on his bonnet, and tears come to his eyes thinking about how he'll face his teammates. He hears someone approaching, and suddenly realises that it is the sound of a rotary engine. Kyoko's FD rounds the corner, shocking Keisuke. She tells him that she had come to cheer him up, and asks why he's sitting in the middle of the course. Keisuke approaches her car, and tells her that he's happy to see her, as she can help him.
Keisuke returns to the top of the course, and begs Ryosuke to allow him to break their rule of only racing in their own cars.
