Furious Climber (怒りのヒルクライム, Ikari no Hirukuraimu, "Furious Hillclimb") is the three hundred and forty-second chapter of Initial D.

Plot

Keisuke tells Ryosuke he intends to race no matter what, even if they don't include it in Project D's record. Ryosuke makes a call, cancelling a replacement car that he had on standby, which shocks Keisuke. Ryosuke explains that he wasn't just going to let the team lose by forfeit to a team of lowlifes. Keisuke and the other members of the team celebrate. Fumihiro points out that the other team might not agree to the substitute car, and Ryosuke says that he'll leave it to him to persuade them.

Aikawa rejects Project D using the replacement car. Fumihiro reminds him that he had said they could use any replacement they want, and tells him that the advantage they clearly wanted is still there, as Keisuke is unfamiliar with the car. He finishes by saying Project D will leave if they aren't allowed to use the car, as they came for both the uphill and downhill.
