Day of Decision (Part Two) (決戦当日 (後編), Kessen Tōjitsu (Kōhen), "Day of the Battle (Continued)") is the three hundred and seventy-first chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
As the race approaches, the spectators around the course are excited to see how Project D will fare against Purple Shadow. Sakai is surprised by how large the crowds are, as Project D don't announce their races as to keep attendance low and Daiki tells him that fan sites make announcements anyway.
Takumi and Joshima greet one another. Joshima asks why Takumi drives such an old car, and Takumi tells him that it was his dads, and that he had been driving it since before he got his license. Joshima is surprised, but notes that he would like to meet his dad, as he sounds like his type of guy. Joshima and Takumi wish each other luck, and Joshima notices the aura coming off of Takumi.
At the start line, Ryosuke tells Takumi that he is up against his toughest opponent, and that he cannot offer him any advice except that he should not give up no matter what. He also tells him not to watch his opponent, but to solely focus on the road. Fumihiro gives the countdown, and the race begins.
