Line of the Ghost (Part Two) (幽霊(ゴースト)ライン (後編), Yūrei (Gōsuto) Rain (Kōhen), "Ghost Line (Continued)") is the three hundred and seventy-eighth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Takumi and Joshima take a corner, and the the crowd are amazed that the Eight-Six can keep up with the S2000.
On Akina, Yuichi drives the Impreza, and is impressed with how smooth a ride it is. He understands why Takumi got into his slump.
At Lake Akina, Bunta explains that while Takumi has all the essential skills to win anywhere, he now needs to take a leap forward, which involves throwing out everything that he knows. He explains that while in a solo run in a course there is an "ideal" line to follow, in a battle there are lots of lines that you can take. He says that a drivers goal in a race is to break their opponents line while finding the fastest line to the finish and maintaining it. He wants Takumi to see that there are multiple solutions to every problem, as once he realises that he will be a much better racer.
On Ibaraki, the spectators are surprised that the battle has lasted for so long.
