Roll Cage (ロールケージ, Rōrukēji, "Roll Cage") is the four hundred and ninetieth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
At Lake Akina, Ryosuke reasons that because Go Hojo is part of Sidewinder, his brother, Rin, is liable to show up at some point. He knows that he can't run from his past, so he needs to face him, not as part of Project D, but as himself. He wonders if this is what Kaori would have wanted, though he doubts it is.
A few days later at the gas station, the SpeedStars admire the newly upgraded Eight-Six, and note how much a roll cage changes how it looks inside. Takumi compares it to sitting in a metal box. Iketani comments that competition in Kanagawa must be ramping up, and imagines they'll have a big crowd for their next race due to the nice weather.
In Saitama, Mika practices her golf swings, unknowingly being ogled by a pair of older men. They wonder what she thinks about while she practices, but all she is thinking about is Takumi.
Kai practices on Nagao, catching the eye of some fellow locals.
Kai reports back to his tuner, letting him know that his car runs perfectly. He can't see a single reason that he could lose to Takumi, and he looks forward to taking him down.
