Takumi Rides Forth (Part 2) (拓海出撃 (後編), Takumi Shutsugeki (Kōhen), "Takumi Attacks (Continued)") is the four hundred and ninety-sixth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
The race begins with Takumi in the lead and Kai following. The locals cheer Kai on.
Bunta meets with Ken Kogashiwa at Lake Akina. Bunta wonders if he's looking for a rematch, but Ken says it wouldn't be fair given that Bunta drives an Impreza now, and that he doesn't race in his older age. He says that his hopes are now with Kai, as he's now become a professional racer. He asks Bunta if he thinks Takumi will surpass him.
Kai follows Takumi, and is able to tell how much the Eight-Six has been upgraded since he last raced it. He intends to use the first lap to tell how much Takumi has improved, before beating him in the second lap.
