The Final Stretch (最終局面, Saishū Kyokumen, "Final Phase") is the five hundred and twelfth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Now bumper to bumper, Takumi and Kai speed through the corners, with Go and Kubo watching them.
At the start line, Ryosuke says that because Kai is a professional he is better at using a car's full potential, and Fumihiro realises that orthodox methods won't work. Ryosuke explains that the biggest strength of the Fujiwara Zone is the control Takumi has over the Eight-Six, and that part of his plan was to use that to trap Kai. He wonders if Kai might have figured it out already, but doubts a professional would back down from the challenge.
Kubo believes Takumi is going make another move. He thinks it is too soon to predict the outcome of the race.
