Growth (成長, Seichō, "Growth") is the five hundred and twenty-third chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Ryosuke says that Keisuke's special training will give him a good sense of what effects his time on a run.
Keisuke admits he was surprised by how rough Ryosuke's training had been, especially as it goes against his instincts to just go as fast as he can. He's glad he had done it though, as he doubts he could have won in Saitama if he hadn't.
Tomiguchi comments on how focused Keisuke was on his acceleration back when they were in Saitama. Fumihiro recalls his battle with Wataru Akiyama, where Wataru's supercharged Eight-Six should have had the advantage in the rain, but his throttle control had helped him win. Ryosuke says his improvement really became apparent during his race with Kozo Hoshino, as he was able to keep a seven second distance between him and his opponent. He thinks that despite everything they still haven't seen the full extent of Keisuke's skill.
