Something In Common (Part 2) (共通点 (後編), Kyōtsūten (Kōhen), "Commonality (Continued)") is the six hundred and thirty-first chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

At the point where the road splits in two, Kozo Hoshino and Toshiya Joshima spectate the race. Joshima says that the reason the NSX is such a tough opponent is due to its Mid-Engine layout, which gives fast cornering, and its Natural Aspirated engine, which gives more speed out of curves. He thinks that on a course with a lot of tight corners, such as the Tsubaki Line, it would be at a significant advantage. Hoshino comments that Keisuke hasn't faced a naturally aspirated car with Project D so far, and Joshima says he'll have a hard time dealing with it, as Honda's NAs can't be beaten. Joshima is intrigued to see how Project D's theory will deal with such a challenge.

  • Hoshino says that all of Keisuke's previous opponents have been supercharged, however only one of his opponents (Wataru Akiyama) drove a supercharged car. This line is mistranslated, as he is saying Keisuke's opponents have all had forced induction (Supercharged or Turbocharged) in the Japanese.
