Unexpected (想定外, Sōtēgai, "Beyond Expectations") is the six hundred and forty-second chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Kenta remembers speaking with Keisuke about his training regimen, and how it was amazing he could match the times. Keisuke had told him that he shouldn't think about keeping the pace, he should keep his mind blank and let his car do the work. Kenta didn't think he could do it, but Keisuke says he would just need to practice.
On the Tsubaki Line, Kenta notices how calm Sidewinder seem, and he imagines they must be confident they can win in a single round. Kenta believes there will be a round two, as Keisuke is too dedicated to let himself lose.
