Satoshi Omiya's Mazda Roadster RS (NB8C), known as the Roadster, is the signature vehicle of Team 246 leader Satoshi Omiya.

History[]

Team 246 are the first team that go up against Project D in Kanagawa, acting as the "first wall of defense" for Sidewinder. Satoshi Omiya, leader of Team 246, is unanimously voted to represented the team on the downhill.

After Kobayakawa's defeat against Keisuke Takahashi, Omiya's battle against Takumi Fujiwara begins. Omiya starts in the lead, with Takumi following close behind. Omiya is amazed by Takumi's ability to keep up with him, but turns his rearview mirror away so that he doesn't become distracted by him. Takumi uses his blind attack trick, however as Omiya is unable to see him, the desired effect was instead an improvement to his aerodynamics. When Takumi turned his lights back on, Omiya believed that there was an oncoming car, causing him to pull to the side, allowing Takumi to come alongside him. The two cars enter a narrow piece of the road at the same time, with Omiya clipping his cars rear wing on a signpost. The damage to his wing causes his car to lose some stability, as Mazda Roadsters are naturally prone to oversteer (a made up flaw, as the Roadster has a near 50-50 weight distribution) and his aerodynamics have changed. Omiya loses control of his Roadster, causing him to spin out, costing him the race.

Specs[]

The car is a Mazda Roadster RS, chassis code NB8C. It is painted in Evolution Orange Mica.

Engine[]

The Roadster is fitted with a BP-ZE, a naturally aspirated engine. The cars actual output is unknown, but a stock model could produce 130HP.
