Synopsis[]
After driving the Impreza, Takumi begins to question his abilities behind the wheel of the Eight-Six. Itsuki’s got his own emotional turmoil after a date with Kazumi takes an unexpected turn.

Differences from the Manga[]
- A minor part in chapter 325, where Kazumi drives Itsuki's AE85 at Maze Pass was not adapted into the anime.
- Several other parts that show Itsuki and Kazumi together after they went to the restaurant during the rainy night were also not adapted to the anime, the only scene shown after in the anime is when the two of them are at a convenience store.

- This is the only episode in the Project D Arc to not feature Keisuke Takahashi and Fumihiro.
- This episode is also the only episode in Fourth Stage to lack Keisuke Takahashi's Mazda RX-7.
- The scene at 24:40 until the end credits was reutilized for the opening scene after the intro of Fourth Stage - Act 18.
