Synopsis[]
Project D’s next match is against a pair of legendary racers. The veteran drivers of Purple Shadow may be a lot older than Takumi’s crew, but they aren’t rusty. In fact, their skills are as sharp as polished blades.

Differences from the Manga[]
- The section where Toshiya Joshima and Kozo Hoshino practice on their home course after speaking with other Purple Shadow members is an Anime-only addition.
- In the manga, when Wataru informs Takumi that he is in his neighborhood, the two of them discuss and meetup at Lake Akina. In the anime, the two of them discuss and meet up at a restaurant.

- Toccata and Fugue in D minor is played at the end of the episode. This is in reference to Back On The Rocks.
- This one was an OST that first appeared on Extra Stage - Act 1.
