The Unmatched GT-R! (超絶GT-R!, Chōzetsu GT-R!) is the twentieth Act of Initial D: Fourth Stage.

This episode features the first half of the battle between Keisuke Takahashi and Kozo Hoshino.

Synopsis

Keisuke climbs behind the wheel of his newly modified FD to take on the legendary God Foot’s GT-R! The race will be tougher - and longer - than normal. Luckily, Ryosuke’s got a plan.

Kozo Hoshino: Among the GT-R line, I've had four GT-R's each. The debut of the R32 had a huge impact on me. When the R33 came out, it really was a disappointment. That was a flop. You ready, DORIYA!!!! After I got rid of the R33, I got another R32, now my fourth car is this, the R34 GT-R!!

Notes & Trivia

• The band group M.o.v.e makes a cameo appearance in the episode, watching the race.
• In the English version, when Kozo yells to keep his focus, he mostly doesn't grunt or say kiais, but rather other exclamation words such as "Oh yeah!", "Come on!", and "Bring it on!" He still yells his signature "DORIYA" yell.
• In the Japanese version, Kozo brags the GT-R over people wanting to afford Ferraris and Lamborghinis, while in the English version, Kozo brags about the GT-R over people buying Ferraris and Mercedes Benz vehicles just because they cost an arm and a leg.
  • Also on that scene, the Japanese version has Kozo state that he'll have the GT-R til the day he dies because of the R32 he previously had while on the English version, he says this; " There the way to go. GT-R BABY!!!!!!"
