Hideo Minagawa's Toyota Supra RZ (JZA80), known simply as the Supra, is the signature vehicle of Racing Team Katagiri Street Version member Hideo Minagawa.

History[]

Hideo Minagawa was a professional racer as part of Katagiri, presumably driving his Supra in many a race. Along with his fellow Katagiri member, Kai Kogashiwa, he formed Racing Team Katagiri Street Version, a small group of racers who battle on Nagao.

During Project D's Kanagawa expedition, Katagiri Street Version acted as the second line of defense for Sidewinder. Minagawa was set to go up against Keisuke Takahashi for the hillclimb battle. Keisuke started in the lead, with Minagawa following behind. Keisuke manages to maintain his lead, despite his opponents larger horsepower, through expert management of his acceleration and braking. Minagawa managed to keep up to Keisuke for most of the battle, until Keisuke performed a brake feint and pressed the accelerator to the floor, shooting off ahead. In retaliation, Minagawa goes all out, as the two cars speed up considerably. Despite the effort Keisuke is putting in to create distance between the two cars Minagawa is able to slowly close in on Keisuke. Minagawa taps Keisuke's rear bumper before admitting defeat, knowing that he wouldn't be able to compete in a second round due to his tires being worn down.
