Initial D Battle Stage (頭文字D Battle Stage, Inisharu D Battle Stage) is a 2002 Japanese compilation OVA and the fifth installment in the anime adaptation of the Initial D manga by Shuichi Shigeno. It was released direct-to-video on May 15, 2002, and was animated by Pastel and was directed by Initial D Third Stage director Fumitsugu Yamaguchi. The OVA is a compilation of all the major battles from First Stage, Second Stage and Third Stage, with minimal character dialogue. The battles from First Stage were completely reanimated with new CGI, though the character art remains unchanged, while battles from the later stages use existing footage. The OVA also features a new Eurobeat soundtrack and includes guest commentary from professional racing driver and "Drift King" Keiichi Tsuchiya.

Trivia[]
- Battle Stage was produced by Pastel, the same studio who did the CGI in Third Stage and the animation of Second Stage.
- Keisuke's FD3S depicted in Battle Stage has his Spec II-level modifications from Second Stage during battles that originally took place in First Stage.
- Several lines spoken by Seiji and Keisuke during their battle were reused from Second Stage Act 4.
- The DVD release includes three main versions of the OVA:
- The "ORIGINAL VERSION" features the Battle Stage in its entirety, along with an alternative audio track where all dialogue is removed, leaving only the Eurobeat soundtrack and sound effects.
- The "MUSIC CLIP VERSION" is approximately two minutes shorter due to the removal of all car introductions.
- Some differences exist between various releases:
- One version has an error at the 5:00 mark, where a shot from 5:04 is reused, and the audio is removed except for the background music.
- Another version of the Keisuke Takahashi vs Seiji Iwaki battle includes additional dialogue for Keisuke towards the end of the battle.
- Several songs in the OVA were miscredited or misspelled:
- "24 Hours A Day With You" was credited as "24Hours A Day With You".
- "Jumping Up The Nations" was credited as "Jumping Up The Nation".
- "Destination Love" was credited as "Destinaion Love".
- "Dancin' In My Dreams" by J.Storm was misspelled as "Danchin' In My Dreams" by "J.Storm-GTR".
- The misspelling of the artist's name originates from the full credit: "J.Storm - Guitars Performed By Olaf Thörsen".
- Portions of the OVA were featured in the bonus DVD "Super Eurobeat History", included with the album Super Eurobeat Vol. 150 in August 2004.
