Initial D Final Stage (頭文字D Final Stage, Inisharu D Final Stage) is a 2014 Japanese anime television series and the tenth and final main installment in the anime adaptation of the Initial D manga by Shuichi Shigeno. The stage adapts Chapter 668 to 719 of the manga (Volume 46 to 48) and serves as a continuation of Initial D Fifth Stage, picking up shortly after the race between Keisuke Takahashi and Go Hojo. The series originally aired on Animax's video-on-demand service, Animax PLUS, from May to June 2014, spanning 4 episodes. It was animated by SynergySP and directed by Mitsuo Hashimoto, both of whom returned from Fifth Stage.
The production of Initial D Final Stage was announced in July 2013, alongside the conclusion of the manga's serialization and the announcement of Initial D Legend 1: Awakening. Final Stage was confirmed to be the concluding season of the Initial D anime, focusing entirely on the final battle between Takumi Fujiwara and Shinji Inui.[1] It was later announced that the series would be broadcast on Animax's video-on-demand service, Animax PLUS,[2] with the stage having four episodes in total.

Anime and Manga Differences[]
- In the manga, Takumi decided to scrap the AE86 he had since the beginning of the series. In the anime, Takumi keeps it, although he doesn't plan on racing it anymore.
- In the manga, Takumi attends Project D's disbanding party in his father's Impreza. In the anime, Takumi didn't attend the party. Instead, he uses the Impreza on another delivery run, and even witnesses a Toyota GT86 on the road.
