Initial D Fourth Stage Vol. 5 is the fifth video release for Initial D Fourth Stage. It includes Acts 9 and 10 of the anime and had three different releases: it was first released for rental on both VHS and DVD on February 11, 2005, and later released for retail on DVD on February 16, 2005.[1] The release features the battle between Takumi Fujiwara and Nobuhiko Akiyama and the beginning of the battle between Takumi Fujiwara and Sakamoto.
The retail release peaked at number four on the Oricon DVD Chart with an estimated 17,301 units sold in its first week.[2][3] It remained on the charts for a total of 8 weeks, with total sales estimated at 29,013 units.[4][5]
